Rubber Stamping Inspirations…
posted by: rms_admin in Inspirations, Stamping on 01 23rd, 2012 | | No Comments »

Have I mentioned lately that I love Samantha Kira Harding’s new line of rubber art stamps?  They are cute, whimsical and very versatile.  Don’t be fooled by their clean and simple design.  These stamps have a broad range of possibilities for the stamper, journaling or scrapper!  Check out how our designer, Sue Smith from Australia, used the little houses to create a hat and a cute row of flowers or the Winged Heart stamp as the bodice and arms of her dancing girl!  Kira’s stamps are available at Paperbag Studios!

Have a  blessed day!

MEET KIRA

1. Please describe yourself in five words:

Creative, passionate, playful, encouraging, courageous.

2. How do you explain to other people what you do?

Wow! I wear so many hats! I usually start with telling people I do mixed-media art and write about it. I then start babbling about art journaling, which I can get VERY excited about and thus babble for about for awhile. I’m always encouraging people to try out a bit of art journaling, or even accept that they can be artistic, so the story soon turns to them — maybe that’s what I REALLY do! Help others become artistic!

3. What inspired your stamp designs?

My journals. I always go back to them when looking for ideas. I went through and found images that jumped at me, or repeated forms I knew I’d like. A few years ago, I began playing with my handwriting, and knew I wanted to include words I wrote in these designs.

4. Who or what inspired you?

I’d say friends and family, as well as nature, inspire me. I’m always doodling, playing, and observing, and find my daily life is so full of rich content to push me forward, I can’t help but be inspired! Just today, I was thinking on a new painting I’m working on, and decided it was time for a walk — walking, observing, and letting my mind wander helped me to figure out what I needed to do!

Newest Cling Stamps…
posted by: rms_admin in News & Announcements, Stamping on 12 29th, 2010 | | 2 Comments »

Hello!

We have thirty new cling stamps available now at Paperbag Studios!! Check out our newest cling releases HERE!

Each stamp is individually packaged in a plastic bag with an insert card. Cling stamps are very easy to use; just peel off the paper backing and adhere to an acrylic block. Cling Rubber Stamps are the same deeply etched, red rubber as our wood mounted stamps, but these handy stamps ‘cling’ to an acrylic block for ease of use and storage. You ink cling stamps the same way as the wood mounted stamps and you clean them the same as well.

Have a  blessed day!
